PoliSpeak - "Cut"

PoliSpeak is that language used by politicians to give the impression of saying one thing, while meaning another entirely. In PoliSpeak, a "cut" is a reduction in the planned spending growth. It is not a reduction from current spending levels, those do not happen in Washington.

Oh, and any guesses what "Bi-Partisan" actually means?

Bi-Partisan means they high five each other while they're screwing you.

We spend $1.00 now. We *were* going to spend $1.30 tomorrow. Now, we will only spend $1.20 instead. We just saved 10%! We are SO responsible in our fiscal restraint. Vote for us again so we can do this next year...

Bi-Partisan means that the Republicans cave to the irresponsible demands of the Democrats 'for the children'.

I am daily reminded how much vision people like George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and Ira Levin had.
